Inflatable dunnage bags are the logical answer to minimizing shipping damage. With outstanding load stabilizing capacity, an inflatable dunnage air bag can withstand tons of pressure and resistance to load shifting.

Our Dunnage Air Bags quality tested above industry standards:

Picture
Of every batch of Dunnage Air Bags produced, 1 out of every 6 bags are tested. Each bag is inflated: 2 ply (2-3 psi), 4 ply (5-6 psi), 6 ply (7-8 psi) and 8 ply (9-10psi). The bags are then gauged after 2 minutes, if they pass, they are gauged again after 20 minutes to get the final approval mark. If any bags fail the test, the process is repeated for an additional 1 of every 6 bags. Additionally, if any bags fail the 2nd test, 100% of the bags in the batch are tested to ensure that every bag shipped to our customers performs flawlessly.  This method of testing is the most extensive system in the industry.

Benefits of a Dunnage Air Bag system

Economical

  • The dunnage airbag will provide savings when compared to other bracing techniques. Your dollar savings can be easily calculated and compared with other systems or freight claim records. Although not all loads are the same, it is not unusual to use a single dunnage air bag to brace an entire load.

Protection

  • Reduces or eliminates longitudinal movement of cargo
Load shifting is the largest cause of transit damage. By effectively bracing the load in place, damage is eliminated. Using a dunnage air bag illustrates to your customer you care that your load arrive safely.

Easy

  • Does Not Require Skilled Labor
In some plants, highly-paid labor is required to install wood bracing. With the dunnage air bag system, the lift truck operator or checker can be utilized to install the dunnage air bag and buffer material.
  • Easily Deflated and Removed
By puncturing the bag with a sharp object, the bag will deflate and can be removed immediately. No need to remove wood bracing from trailer floors or paper and adhesive from trailer walls. This will save your customer valuable time and space.
  • Ease and Speed of Application
The dunnage air bags can be installed in a few minutes with a little physical labor involved. Compressed air does most of the work. The only equipment necessary is the air hose and inflator tool.

Dunnage Air Bags for every type of shipment:

2 ply (Level 1)

As pictured here, the 2 ply Dunnage air bag secures the load by locking the last 2 or 4 pallets from the door to the sides of the truck creating frictional drag

4 ply (Level 2)

Here is another example of air bag positioning. This is 4 ply bags placed in two different areas to lock in the load securely.

Rail Car Use (Crosswise Bracing): Used in railcars to fill length-wise void in doorways. AAR approved when weight of load is less than 30,000 lbs. Crosswise Bracing shown in the picture, can be a combination of 4,6, or 8 ply, due to the number of bags used.

6, 8-ply (Level 3-4)

Rail cars require the strongest bags when bracing the load

Various plys (Level 1-4)

Intermodal may require a variety of different sizes and plys.
This will vary by the products and means of transportation.
